January Garnet
When we think of garnet, we think of a stone in deep red – which is the traditional colour. But it comes in other exciting hues as well.
Perhaps the most spectacular of the less known colours is the very beautiful bright green, called Tsavorite, discovered in Kenya in the 1960’s. Rhodolite garnet is a violet red, Spessartite is rich orange-red and Hessonite, also called Cinnamon Stone, is a warm yellow.
Our selection of jewellery here shows the reds, but the other colours, although a bit harder to find, are worth looking at!
With this variety of colours, garnets offer a splendid opportunity to have jewellery in your birthstone, without choosing the most obvious one.
Below are a few items that show off this amazing birthstone.
